Interview With Vampire
Went to National Blood Bank last week. Donated some blood. Feel great after doing some charity. Feel like being charged again after releasing some old blood.(450ml for male, 350 ml for female).
If you are considering donating blood, this is the place to go..air conditioned room, an army of well-trained nurses, nice food after donation, TV for donors....(It's located @ Jln Tun Razak,opposite GH, just right after National Art Gallery, before National Library)

Love Conquers All
Just finished watching director Tan Chui Mui's dvd Love Conquers All. It's a story of how a kampung girl(Coral Ong) went to work in a city as mixed rice seller. She met the pimp(Stephen Chua) who use the same cool excuse(owing some other people money, need urgent cash) to lure her into the prostitution business. This movie goes along with a very slow pace, from beginning till the end. Personally, I feel that it could be better if they slot in more music into the movie.Cinematography is not bad. However there's a cute acting by Mei(Leong Jiun Jiun) who spend her free time after doing homework to write to her penpal. And the funniest part is she actually asked her mom to sent her by bike to D'sara Kim to take a peek at her penpal..wakakakaBehind the scene production team is the very powerful team of Amir Muhammad(producer), James Lee(director of photography) and Ho Yu Hang(Editor). This film has also won numerous awards including: GRAND PRIZE CITY OF LISBON, GOLDEN DIGITAL AWARD(31st Hong Kong International Film Festival), OIKOCREDIT AWARD, 21st Fribourg International Film Festival, VPRO TIGER AWARD, 36th International Film Festival Rotterdam, NEW CURRENTS AWARD, 11th Pusan International Film Festival, FIPRECSI AWARD, 11th Pusan International Film Festival.

Tips for Eating Sushi
Eating Sushi like a pro:
1. Try practising with chopsticks at home - but if you can't master it, it's not the worst thing to abandon then and use your fingers.
2. Pour soy sauce into the saucer provided. Mix in a pea-size amount of wasabi. Add more according to taste.
3. Pickled ginger is a palate cleanser, not a garnish. Eat a slice between different types of sushi.
4. When eating a nigiri(rice topped with fish, meat or vegetables) dip the topping side into the soy. Rice soak up too much soy, which can overpower the other subtle flavours.
5. Sushi should land in the mouth fish-side down for maximum taste - your tongue warms the fish so you don't just taste the rice.
6. Do eat a whole piece in one go - breaking it apart tends to end in a messy collapse.

O My God, Where Art Thou???
Came across this article from The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren...For those who doubt the existence of God when they face difficulties of life.
Character is both developed & revealed by tests, and all of life is a test. You are always being tested. God constantly watches your response to people, problems, success, conflict, illness, disappointment, and even the weather! He even watches the simplest actions such as when you open a doors for others, when you pick up a piece of trash, or when you're polite towards a clerk or waitress.
You will be tested by major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayers, undeserved criticism, and even senseless tragedies. In my own life, I have noticed that God tests my faith through problems, test my hope by how I handle possessions, and test my love through people.
A very important test is how you act when you can't feel God's presence in your life. Sometimes God intentionally draws back, and we don't sense his closeness. Hezekiah had enjoyed a close fellowship with God, but at a crucial point in his life God left him alone to test his character, to reveal a weakness, and to prepare him for more responsibility.
When you understand that life is a test, you realise that nothing insignificant in your life. Even the smallest incident has significance for your character development. Every day is an important day, and every second is a growth opportunity to deepen your character, to demonstrate love, or to depend on God. Some tests seem overwhelming, while others you don't even notice. But all of them have eternal implications.
