Suvarnabhumi Airport - Bangkok

During our trip, we landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Pronounced su-wan-na-poom). A cool airport with a beautiful structure. It is located at Racha Thewa, in Samut Prakan Province, about 25 km east of downtown Bangkok.

The name Suvarnabhumi was chosen by King Bhumipol Adulyadej, and refers to the ancient kingdom hypothesized to have been located somewhere in Southeast Asia. This airport was designed by Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn Architects, which also designed Caltex House and Hitachi Tower in Singapore.

Found a cool quote on their web:

Creativity has to do more with the elimination of the inessential, than inventing something new. Perfection is achieved not when nothing is to be added, but when nothing can be taken away.

(Helmut Jahn,July 1999)

A Thai girl promoting their food..
I think it's a mixture or fried ginger, nuts and fresh lime, wrap in daun sirih. Taste good.

Coconut ice cream in Jatujak Market
Very refreshing. Cheap.

A must-try in Jatujak market, nearby the art stalls. This stall is quite well hidden. Only targeting local, not tourist.
Try it if you dare. Won't regret it.

Made In Thailand

Had my honeymoon trip in Bangkok. A very enjoyable trip. Ate tons of food from morning till nite. The street food is cheap, but not the shopping stuff. Feel very safe walking on the street, with so many food around. The airport is marvelous. And one cool thing observed, 99% of the cab using Toyota Altis, whereas Toyota and Honda made up of 95% of car on the street...go Japanese go....

Thai school kids wore yellow uniforms. Many of the working people and students will wear yellow on every Monday (Monday-Wednesday this month, due to the King's birthday) to pay respect to the King.
What's the point of forcing people to fly flag on national day, when Thai people do this willingly everyweek...

Thai silk shop @ Silom

Street bar @ Sukhumvit

Thai massage at reasonable price
